Resumo:
This research objective is to identify the impacts of the so-called corporate social responsibility for social workers actions and for the implementation of the Social Work ethical-political project. Its premise is that today social responsibility is a theme closely related to the changes in the State-society relationship occurred in reason of the progress of the neoliberal project. We took as reference the social transformations occurred at the begging of the XXI century, when the development model to enhance social rights coverage, like extended citizenship, became exhausted. In order to surpass the crisis, neoliberal measures were implemented which led to reduce the State role and to the reinforcement of the private scope on the social sector regulation in a way that the corporate social responsibility is seen by some as the correct way to address some aspects of the Social Question. Therefore, we realized an exploratory field research with social workers from Furnas Centrais Elétricas S/A. in order to attend the proposed targets. Moreover, data from their daily activities was gathered jointly with bibliographic and documental data collection. At the end of this research, we realized that the changes that happened in Brazil not only impacted state-businesssociety relationship, but also heavily affected social workers professional practice with direct consequences for social and citizenship rights. On the other hand, we also found out that there is a co-existence of new and traditional approaches in the daily activities of social workers what has an impact for the professional Code of Ethics.
