Resumo: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The work initially presents certain traditional building techniques with land and the ways that different cultures dealt with this construction material, which is used since ancient times until today in the world. It also shows how people organized themselves in the past to perform these constructions. The second chapter addresses the main focus of this dissertation, which are the scale models called here, for certain technical and methodological peculiarities, miniatures. Shows some historical aspects of these miniatures, as its occurrence since earliest times of civilization. The story goes through the Neolithic southeast Europe, the cultures of the Near East, through Egypt and Greece. The report dwells on a contemporary Brazilian case, based on a study on the constructions of the Karaja tribe. It is shown here the importance given by the tribe to scale models of their huts made beside the construction site. The following chapter establishes the relations of miniatures with other objects, beings also participants of lab space, and explains the terminology and meaning of these objects that form with the miniatures the concrete part of the research. Draws attention to the essentially mechanical state of the miniatures and the states of the objects: mental state, electronic state and state of use. Continuing, mentions an important exhibition on miniatures held at Solar Grandjean de Montigny, at PUC-Rio. Comments and shows a series of exhibits, including the latest, that refer to parts of the LILD’s architecture, currently under construction. Then finally shows the use of miniatures in the passage of construction techniques for people of a community called Jardim Anil, in Jacarepagua, Rio de Janeiro.
