Resumo: | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
This dissertation is constructed from the reading of
António Lobo Antunes´s
chronicles. For condensing the aesthetic forces that act
in the vast author´s literary
work, the chronicles configuring itself as fictionals
devices that point to the global
contemporary society, and trace pictures of the portuguese
political scenery of the
last years of the twentieth century. Having been
published, in periodicals,
magazines, Internet´s sites and, lately being organized on
books, the author´s
chronicles acquired notable circulation, and it guaranteed
to his literary project an
immense visibility. With this, some of the topics of
public interest worked by the
writer, as for example, the colonial war in Angola and the
gradual dismount of the
Portuguese colonial project, articulated to questions
linked to the malaise and the
experience of the contemporary living, in the private
scope, point to a kind of
weakness of the public life as symptoms that mark our
historical condition and,
simultaneously, distinguish his writing.
