The work entitled A methafor of the culture: the reader’s formation from a reading club has a main objective to investigate the reading practice involved by the academic environment, based on theories related to the field of cultural studies and its implications and theoric and pratical development aroused by the elements of analisys that contribute for a reflexion about reader’s formation. In the evolution of perspective it is possible to conceite more accurate dialogs in some areas of knowledge, as in the linguistics, the literature and reading theories and education to make this happen conection points are detected among them, in order to reach a variety of reading practices, a reading club in the city of Fátima do Sul- MS. This procedure, a case study, permits a correlation among quantitative and qualitative aspects, that allow new readings about readers nowadays, specially the ones linked in a graduation program.
