What does VISIR mean?

VISIR is the acronym of Virtual Instrument Systems in Reality.

  

What is VISIR?

VISIR is a remote laboratory for electric and electronic circuits. It is a ’real‘ laboratory with protoboards, sources, signal generators, meters, oscilloscopes and components (resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes etc). Additionally it has a very important characteristic – it can remotely be operated through the Internet. This characteristic allows users from all over the world to use the laboratory 24/7. It is a powerful tool for cooperation among institutions.

  

Where was VISIR developed?
