Resumo:
The relationship among individual and the organization has always been object of research in the literature, in which the question most frequently raised concerns the problem of how individuals can be encouraged to better perform their activities. The motivation, job satisfaction and dissatisfaction at work have been the subject of theoretical studies and research of the most varied currents over the twentieth century. Know what motivates you, what meets the worker helps to outline the policies and best practices to be adopted in order to improve their professional performance and, consequently, organizational performance. In recent years, while the prevailing discourse on flexibility and speed, the Information Technology professional has evolved and gained momentum in the marketplace. Thus, modern organizations are increasingly dependent on information technology (IT). However, the massification of microcomputer, including household, has altered the labor market. In consequence of this mass, the area of IT is no longer part of the core business of organizations, leaving a strategic position to an operational position, becoming a support area and support for organizations. The professionals who were once highly valued and had a distinguished professional qualification, have lost bargaining power, and as a direct consequence, the low valuation of this professional. In this context, this study aims to analyze motivation and job satisfaction of IT professionals with the organizations in which they operate. To this end, a quantitative survey was performed with systems analysts in the sector of Information Technology from a public company. In the survey, the issue of motivation and job satisfaction was analyzed, since the understanding of its foundations can facilitate a better understanding of implicit agreements employee-employer relationship, thus allowing an analysis of the relationship between employees and ambience. The results show the perception of IT professionals regarding the factors that impact their motivation and job satisfaction. This information can be useful for managers to work motivation and job satisfaction, reduce turnover, increase the success of projects and improve customer satisfaction.
