[pt] O presente trabalho busca estudar alguns temas tratados pelo historiador Jacob Burckhardt nas suas Reflexões sobre a História e pelo filósofo Friedrich Nietzsche na sua II Consideração Intempestiva. Jacob Burckhardt e Friedrich Nietzsche conheceram-se na Universidade da Basileia, instituição em que ambos lecionaram. As reflexões sobre a história de Jacob Burckhardt influenciaram o jovem Nietzsche. Ambos os intelectuais partilhavam de concepções semelhantes com relação à crítica à filosofia da história, às mudanças pelas quais passava o século XIX e a importância da Grécia Clássica, no que diz respeito à cultura. Com base no contato entre os dois autores e na análise de seus escritos, pretende-se realizar uma discussão sobre a relação entre a história, a arte e a vida.
Resumo
[en] This study aims to study some topics treated by the historian Jacob Burckhardt in his Reflections on History and philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche in his II Untimely Meditations. Jacob Burckhardt and Friedrich Nietzsche met at the University of Basel, where both taught at the institution. Reflections on the Jacob Burckhardt history influenced the young Nietzsche. Both intellectuals shared similar conceptions regarding the critique of the philosophy of history, the changes that passed the nineteenth century and the importance of Classical Greece, with regard to culture. Based on the contact between the two authors and the analysis of his writings, we intend to conduct a discussion on the relationship between history, art and life.
