Calculation of fatigue strength, service life, and safety factor in cylindrical gears,
performed using both the AGMA method and ISO 6336, employing conventional
methodology for the acting force values for comparative and analytical purposes.
The results are compared using clear and effective graphical analyses in EXCEL to
obtain a perspective regarding the quality of the results produced by each
methodology.
This work presents a comparative perspective of two fatigue strength calculation
methodologies, explicitly and visually demonstrating the differences in precision
and accuracy between them. It also examines various parameters that influence the
results and explicitly highlights the challenges encountered during the execution of
the project.
