Resumo:
Five columns have been modeled in software FreeCad and subsequently printed. Two of them had their geometry obtained through the educational MatLab code topBuck250.m for topological optimization; with and without buckling constraint. The other three were independent of the algorithm. For each of the five columns, a numerical and experimental test have been performed, in which the critical buckling load of the structure has been obtained. At the end, the results were compared and the objective of the present work, to verify which column best resists against buckling, has been concluded. The column that best resisted against buckling, based on the numerical and experimental results, has been the one optimized with buckling constraint, thus proving the efficiency of the topBuck250.m code used.
