Resumo: | |||||||||||||
Tribo-rheology combines the principles of rheology and tribology, applying
rheometric techniques to evaluate the friction, wear, and lubrication properties
of materials under conditions of contact and relative motion. In the oil and gas
industry, this interdisciplinary approach stands out as an innovative method for
optimizing the formulation of drilling fluids containing nanoparticles and other
additives.
Although tribo-rheometry, the technique used for such measurements, is still not
widely adopted, this study aims to develop and expand its methodological application. During the research, a qualitative tribo-rheological analysis of drilling
fluids is conducted, considering the widest possible range of test conditions. The
objective is to evaluate the lubrication characteristics of these fluids in various
scenarios, grounded in the principles of lubrication theory, while also incorporating a complementary microstructural evaluation.
