Resumo:
This study discusses the participation of black women in the formal labor market, considering their entire history from the period before slavery to the present day. The objective of this study is to identify the main challenges they face in order to propose actions to mitigate inequalities. A quantitative survey was conducted, without distinction of sex and race, to highlight the differences that black women face in the labor market. It was found that they suffer from double discrimination, both as women and as black individuals, facing challenges in education, lower wages, lower-ranking positions, prejudice in the workplace, and the double burden of having to manage domestic chores and childcare.
