Resumo:
The work talks about female entrepreneurship, which has had an important relevance in the achievements of women in the business world and became a driver of the Brazilian economy. However, there is still the persistence of prejudice and discrimination about genders, whether in the formal job market or in entrepreneurship itself, such as the granting of equal opportunities for men and women. In this context, the study identifies challenges and difficulties faced by female entrepreneurs in the city of Rio de Janeiro to start and maintain their ventures and concludes that the remuneration offered by the market is below the remuneration achieved when undertaking, noting that female entrepreneurship makes it possible to reach a higher income.
