The Poisson s ratio is a property that mensurates the relation between the orthogonal strains wich occur in a solid material when it is under uniaxial stress condition. In this way, materials that possess negative Poisson s ratio are classified as auxetic, and they can contract or expand transversely depending on the load direction. So, the following article has the objective to present a computational simulation of a microstructure composition with auxetic behavior, evaluating its Poisson s ratio obtained by the linear elastic analysis of its structure. Through the CAD 3D software, SolidWorks, the geometries were modeled in a parametric way that adjusts their selves to different configurations, so they could be simulated by the finite element method. The results obtained in this study verifies the auxetic behavior of the structures analyzed in numerical simulation, since the values of the Poisson s ratio for the different geometries were negative.
