Resumo:
Currently, the company s image is directly linked to the quality of its products. Companies that produce these products are increasingly seeking to develop them efficiently, achieving safety and functionality. Structural optimization tools such as topological optimization along with structural simulation tools have become extremely useful and attractive in the sense that they enable a great improvement of the product, optimization of the product design and, moreover, help to reduce the development time of the product, still in its design phase. As the gears are extremely important mechanical elements and their application area is vast, ranging from industrial to commercial applications, the in-depth study and continuity in the optimization of their design are important for reducing their mass, ensuring its functionality. Using the features of topological optimization and mechanical simulation software, the objective of this work is to reduce the mass of a supr gear, maintaining the safety and functionally.
