O objeto apresenta os conceitos de Ponto de Equilíbrio de um sistema homogêneo, Estabilidade Assintótica (AE), Estabilidade no Sentido de Lyapunov (ESL) e de BIBO-estabilidade. São apresentadas, também, as expressões matemáticas para cada uma delas tanto para os SLIT-TC quanto para os SLIT-TD.
