This work has as studies object the practice of the Social
Service in the
Municipal Council of Social Attendance, while new demand
cut to this
professional. We tried to identify the impasses and the
challenges placed these
professionals, front to this new work field, while
possibility of invigoration of the
participation of the civil society in the construction of
a democratic public sphere.
In other words, it is necessary to contemplate which has
been the contribution of
the Social Service in the Council of Social Attendance,
while spaces of social
participation and privileged locus of professional
intervention.
