Resumo:
The Sustainable Development Goals highlight, among their targets, awareness, information and education - processes in which communication plays a key role. The production of content, whether fictional, documentary or journalistic, has a huge impact on how societies are organized. A television series or a news program can influence convictions, actions and even policies. Based on different models of behavior change, a quali-quantitative research was carried out, which analyzed the public response to four videos: a trailer for a fiction series, a comic skit, an activist campaign and an institutional animation video – all with a focus on sustainability. The research was concluded as planned and, based on its answers, this dissertation reflected on two main questions: i) How can we create audiovisual products that promote more engagement and arouse interest in sustainability in viewers?; and ii) How to ensure that the message of sustainability not only reaches the viewer, but also stands out against so many others, causing a real behavioral change?. Together, the data from the bibliographic research and the results of the questionnaire provided timely inputs and offered ways to not only increase public engagement, but also give more relevance to the messages portrayed in the content.
