Resumo:
Considering that success in accessing university spaces did not bring equal opportunities for women mothers, this investigation brings to the discussion how the paths taken by university mothers can indicate the real condition of this non-traditional student within academia. Observing the dynamics of the relationships of female university mothers within university spaces, regarding the limits of affiliation or its non-attribution, this work analyzes how symbolic violence, the lack of structure, recognition and affirmative policies aimed at group of university women mothers not only impacts academic life, but works as markers of oppression that directly act as obstacles to the integration and affiliation of university women mothers to the academic space and academic activities. To understand the condition of female student mothers, this dissertation interviewed, through semi-structured interviews, 08 student mothers from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The theoretical basis was based on a bibliographical review of authors who address university tenure, university trajectory, the social history of women and maternity.
