Resumo:
There is a growing trend in the use of supplier performance measurement systems (SPMS) in companies, being an essential tool to improve the relationship between a company and its suppliers, reducing costs and improving its performance. However, for public sector companies, the SPMS theme is still underaddressed, due to the various regulations that hinder its use in the selection of suppliers and discourage its use in public procurement. This action research addresses the review of an SPMS of a public company in order to improve its reliability with the contractual management teams, buyers and the suppliers themselves having made, in unison with the literature, improvements in accuracy, transparency and traceability of the SPMS. The results of this work contribute to the literature through the discussion with the literature, the lessons learned and the framework of requirements for the use of SPMS in the public sector. Practitioners can, through the discoveries of this work, improve their design projects and review of the SPMS
