[pt] A descoberta das pinturas do batistério cristão da cidade de Dura-Europos abriu novos caminhos para a hermenêutica patrística sobre a organização da vida cristã nas primeiras comunidades cristãs. Os restos de Dura-Europos tornaram-se um encontro com a diversidade comunional religiosa, com o mistério da vida social e política e com a historicidade embrenhada de percalços e contendas. As pinturas contidas no batistério cristão são as mais antigas representações das comunidades primitivas. Os primeiros cristãos da comunidade siríaca conseguiram expressar em pinturas nas paredes do batistério do edifício cristão a sua compreensão teológica e sacramental acerca dos ritos de iniciação. Os episódios como a procissão das virgens prudentes, Pedro caminhando sobre as águas, a cura mistagógica do Paralítico de Betesda, as águas refrescantes do Cristo Bom Pastor e o encontro iniciático entre a Samaritana e Jesus demonstram que os cristãos de Dura-Europos compreendiam a iniciação à vida cristã como um itinerário de transformação, renovação, iluminação e salvação. Esses elementos todos foram sapiencialmente resgatados e propostos pelo Concílio Vaticano na nova estrutura litúrgica e mistagógica para Celebração da Páscoa. O sentido espiritual do itinerário quaresmal consiste, ao mesmo tempo, na preparação e renovação dos ritos batismais. A Igreja pós-Vaticano II assemelha-se à comunidade cristã de Dura-Europos, em sua inteligibilidade unitária dos sacramentos da iniciação e no favorecimento teológico-pastoral, sobretudo, do itinerário mistagógico da iniciação cristã de adultos. O objetivo dessa dissertação é discutir sobre a teologia patrística presente direta ou indiretamente nas pinturas do batistério cristão de Dura-Europos associando-a com a atual estrutura mistagógica da Celebração da Páscoa.

[ca] The discovery of the paintings in the Christian baptistery in the city of Dura Europos opened new avenues for patristic hermeneutics on the organization of Christian life in the early Christian communities. The remains of Dura-Europos became an encounter with religious communal diversity, with the mystery of social and political life, and with a history fraught with mishaps and strife. The paintings contained in the Christian baptistery are the oldest representations of the early communities. The first Christians of the Syriac community were able to express their theological and sacramental understanding of the rites of initiation in paintings on the walls of the baptistery in the Christian building. Episodes such as the procession of the prudent virgins, Peter walking on water, the mystagogical healing of the paralytic at Bethesda, the refreshing waters of Christ the Good Shepherd, and the initiatory encounter between the Samaritan woman and Jesus demonstrate that the Christians of Dura-Europos understood initiation into Christian life as a journey of transformation, renewal, enlightenment, and salvation. All these elements were wisely recovered and proposed by the Vatican Council in the new liturgical and mystagogical structure for the celebration of Easter. The spiritual meaning of the Lenten journey consists at the same time in the preparation and renewal of the baptismal rites. The post-Vatican II Church resembles the Christian community of Dura-Europos in its unified understanding of the sacraments of initiation and in its theological and pastoral emphasis, above all, on the mystagogical journey of Christian initiation for adults. The objective of this dissertation is to discuss the patristic theology present directly or indirectly in the paintings of the Christian baptistery of Dura-Europos, associating it with the current mystagogical structure of the Easter Celebration.
