[pt] A mais profunda vocação do ser humano é ser ele mesmo. E, quando ultrapassa sua finitude e se abre ao que é infinito, realiza-se plenamente. Criado homem e mulher na mesma dignidade original, o ser humano é um ser querido por Deus. Mas também é um ser histórico e relacional, dotado de liberdade e inventividade; chamado a atingir a plenitude por meio da alteridade, a necessidade do outro é premente para seu autoconhecimento e sua autorrealização. Onde, pois, se quebrou a unidade entre homem e mulher e deu-se início ao processo de subjugação de um sobre o outro? A presente dissertação apresenta pesquisa que partiu da concepção da Antropologia Teológica da igual dignidade ontológica para entender a desigualdade estrutural imposta ao gênero feminino no decorrer da história das sociedades, sob o influxo da ótica judaico-cristã. Foi feito um levantamento histórico da presença e atuação das mulheres desde as origens bíblicas até a eclesiologia mais recente, traçando o caminho de perdas e ganhos, retrocessos e avanços, à luz da pesquisa dos teólogos mais atuais, com maior ênfase na teologia feminista e nos documentos conciliares e magisteriais. Concluiu-se que, a eclesiologia de comunhão do Concílio Vaticano II inaugura novos horizontes para uma possível atuação de homens e mulheres, unidos pela mesma dignidade batismal, no testemunho do Reino e na tarefa evangelizadora da Igreja.

[en] The deepest vocation of human beings is to be themselves. And when they transcend their finitude and reach the infinite, they are fully realized. Created male and female with the same original dignity, human beings are loved by God. But they are also historical and relational beings, endowed with freedom and inventiveness, called to attain fulfillment through otherness. The need for the other is pressing for their self-knowledge and self-realization. Where, then, was the unity between man and woman broken, and the process of subjugation of one over the other begun? This dissertation presents research based on the concept of Theological Anthropology, which emphasizes equal ontological dignity, to understand the structural inequality imposed on women throughout the history of societies under the influence of the Judeo-Christian perspective. A historical survey of the presence and role of women from biblical origins to the most recent ecclesiology will be conducted, tracing the path of losses and gains, setbacks and advances, in light of the research of contemporary theologians, with a greater emphasis on feminist theology and conciliar and magisterial documents. The ecclesiology of communion of the Second Vatican Council opens new horizons for the possible action of men and women, united by the same baptismal dignity, in witnessing to the Kingdom and in the evangelizing task of the Church.
