[pt] A Horta Maria Angú foi criada em dezembro de 2021 na Favela Kelson s/Marcílio Dias - Complexo da Maré - Zona Norte do Rio de Janeiro, através do aporte de incentivo do IEAHU (Instituto de Estudos Avançados em Humanidades) da PUC-Rio. Uma Solução baseada na Natureza (SBN) proposta como intervenção no território favelado em contexto de vulnerabilidade que, ao mesmo tempo que aproxima a produção e conhecimento acerca de alimentos orgânicos do consumidor periférico, oferece serviços ecossistêmicos, fortalece redes de articulação socioambientais locais e reconfigura a luta desses moradores contra o racismo ambiental. Com o objetivo de contribuir na mitigação da crise socioambiental, imposta pelas emergências climáticas, a iniciativa busca contribuir para a resistência e resiliência do território da Favela Marcílio Dias/Kelson s diante do cenário crítico apresentado pela injustiça ambiental e insegurança alimentar. O trabalho da Horta Maria Angu é reflexo do desejo de diversos atores envolvidos na urgente reintegração da natureza à paisagem favelada e urbana. O processo de construção do projeto, que se dá de forma sistêmica, é parte da resposta aos desafios da Ciência da Sustentabilidade diante da urgente demanda de equidade e adaptação climática que vivemos na contemporaneidade. Elegemos como lócus do presente estudo a análise descritiva do desenvolvimento das práticas que se consolidam como ação da Horta Maria Angu na favela da Kelson s. Como objetivo geral analisamos o processo de formação da horta, a escolha do seu nome, a memória ambiental atravessada no território das favelas da Maré, os seus avanços e complexidades acerca dos objetivos do desenvolvimento sustentável, identificando as questões que desafiam a superação do racismo ambiental. Neste trabalho importa-nos conhecer os Serviços Ecossistêmicos do processo de formação, experiências e impactos da Horta Maria Angu a partir dos seguintes objetivos específicos: (1) Dimensionar a segurança alimentar dos assistidos pela Horta na favela da Kelson s/Marcílio Dias (2) Garantir um espaço de produção de alimentos orgânicos e a entrega desses alimentos para crianças atendidas por duas creches comunitárias parceiras. (3) Desenvolvimento de atividades socioambientais educativas para crianças, jovens e adultos moradores sobre temas relacionados à segurança alimentar e racismo ambiental. (4) Criação de hortas e plantios em estabelecimentos e residências da comunidade. (5) Desenvolvimento de mecanismos pedagógicos para a rede de ensino local acerca da agenda ambiental. (6) Construção de redes de apoio e incidência de parceiros externos no território. (7) Advocacy na construção de políticas públicas socioambientais no território. Identificamos também que a partir do engajamento e voluntariado nos variados processos de desenvolvimento da Horta Maria Angu as ideias em torno da ocupação do espaço público, da resposta de discutir o território e da produção da consciência coletiva, nos permite ver que tudo e todos estão interligados e que os problemas globais exigem soluções também pautadas na vida dos sujeitos.

[en] The Horta Maria Angu was created in December 2021 in the Kelson s/Marcílio Dias Slum - Complexo da Maré - North Zone of Rio de Janeiro, with the support and incentive from IEAHU (Institute of Advanced Studies in Humanities) of PUC-Rio. It is a Nature-Based Solution (NBS) proposed as an intervention in a slum community in a vulnerable context. This initiative not only brings knowledge about organic food production closer to consumers who live in the outskirts of the city, but also offers ecosystem services, strengthens local socio environmental networks and reconfigures the residents fight against environmental racism. With the goal of contributing to the mitigation of the socio-environmental crisis aggravated by climate change, the initiative aims to support the resistance and resilience of the Marcílio Dias/Kelson s Slum territory in the face of the critical scenario presented by environmental injustice and food insecurity. The work of Horta Maria Angu reflects the desire of various actors involved in the urgent reintegration of nature into the slum and urban landscape. The project development process, which occurs systematically, is part of the response to the challenges of Sustainability Science in light of the urgent demand for equity and climate adaptation we are facing today. We chose as the locus of the present study the descriptive analysis of the development of the practices that consolidate as the action of the Horta Maria Angu in the Kelson s slum. The general objective is to analyze the process of forming the community garden, the choice of its name, the environmental memory that permeates the territory of the Maré slums, its progress and complexities regarding the goals of sustainable development, identifying the issues that challenge overcoming environmental racism. In this work, we aim to understand the Ecosystem Services of the formation process, experiences and impacts of the Horta Maria Angu based on the following specific objectives: (1) To provide food security for the residents of the Kelson s/Marcílio Dias slum in the North Zone of Rio; (2) To ensure a space for the production of organic food and the delivery of these foods to children attended by two partner community daycare centers; (3) To develop socio-environmental educational activities for children, youth and adult residents on topics related to food security and environmental racism; (4) To create community gardens and sowing in local establishments and residences; (5) To develop pedagogical mechanisms for the local education network regarding the environmental agenda; (6) To construct support networks and involvement of external partners in the territory; (7) To advocate for the construction of socio-environmental public policies in the territory. We also identified that from the engagement and volunteering in the various processes of developing the Horta Maria Angu, the ideas around the occupation of public space, the response to discussing the territory, and the production of collective consciousness, allow us to see that everything and everyone are interconnected, and that global problems also require solutions based on the lives of the individuals.
