[pt] Este artigo investiga as cartas de Ário e Eusébio de Nicomedia à luz das tensões doutrinárias e disciplinares que antecederam o Concílio de Niceia I (325). Partindo da correspondência epistolar entre os protagonistas do arianismo e seus defensores, o estudo busca compreender como os conflitos teológicos entre Ário e Alexandro de Alexandria se projetaram em embates eclesiológicos e sinodais. A análise textual revela que os conceitos de ortodoxia, autoridade e comunhão estavam profundamente entrelaçados com disputas sobre a relação entre o Pai e o Filho. A partir dessas fontes, argumenta-se que a sinodalidade, então em desenvolvimento, teve papel decisivo na resolução dos conflitos eclesiais e na formulação do Symbolum fidei. O artigo também discute a transição hermenêutica de Pr 8,22-24, central para o debate, e os cânones disciplinares de Niceia como resposta pastoral e eclesial à desordem provocada pela autonomia doutrinária de certos líderes.

[en] This article reopens a total investigation into the letters between Arius and Eusebius of Nicomedia considering the doctrinal and disciplinary tensions that preceded the First Council of Nicaea (325). Based on the correspondence between the protagonists and its defenders, the study seeks to understand how the theological conflicts between Arius and Alexander of Alexandria were projected into ecclesiological and synodal conflicts. Textual analysis reveals that the concepts of orthodoxy, authority, and communion were deeply intertwined with disputes over the relationship between the Father and the Son. Based on these sources, it is argued that synodality played a decisive role in resolving ecclesial conflicts and formulating the Symbolum fidei. The article also discusses the hermeneutical transition of Pr 8:22-24, central to the debate, and the disciplinary canons of Nicaea as a pastoral and ecclesial response to the disorder caused by the doctrinal autonomy of certain leaders.
