[pt] Diante das crises socioambientais atuais, agravadas pelas práticas arquitetônicas alinhadas à lógica do Antropoceno, vem crescendo o número de trabalhos destinados a investigar alternativas à produção hegemônica da arquitetura contemporânea. Com base nas contribuições de Julia Watson e Ana Luiza Nobre, esta pesquisa adota como chaves de leitura, respectivamente, o Lo-TEK — acrônimo que enfatiza saberes ecológicos tradicionais locais — e o Projetar Agachado — expressão que sugere um reposicionamento sensível em relação ao corpo da Terra. A partir dessas referências, analisa-se a prática do coletivo de arquitetura equatoriano Al Borde, reconhecido por projetos desenvolvidos em contextos de escassez financeira e vulnerabilidade ambiental, com uso de técnicas construtivas vernaculares locais e ancestrais, economia de recursos e envolvimento comunitário. A pesquisa foca em 3 projetos selecionados (Casa Jardín, 2018-2020; Escuela Nueva Esperanza, 2009-2014; Cementerio Buena Muerte, 2024), buscando compreender como essa prática se constitui e se mantém, e em que medida representa uma alternativa concreta às epistemologias antropocêntricas da arquitetura, contribuindo para sua reorientação ética, política e ecológica.

[en] In the face of current the social and ambiental crises, worsened by architectural practices aligned with Antrhopocentric logics, there has been a growing body of work dedicated to explore alternatives to the hegemonic production of contemporary architecture. Based on the contributions of Julia Watson and Ana Luiza Nobre, this reserach project take upon the following concepts as interpretive keys: Lo-TEK – na achronym that emphasizes local, tradicional and ecological knowledge – and Projetar Agachado – an expression that suggest a sensitive repositioning in relation to the body of the Earth. Based on this framework, this study analyzes the practice of the Ecuadorian architectural collective Al Borde, acknowledged by projects developed in contexts of financial scarcity and enviromental vulnerability, using local and ancestral vernacular building techniques, resource economy and community engagement. The research focuses on three selected projects (Casa Jardín, 2018-2020; Escuela Nueva Esperanza, 2009-2014; cementerio Buena Muerte, 2024), seeking to understand how this practice was formed and sustain itself, and also to what extend it representes a concrete alternativo to anthropocentric epistemologies in architecture, contributing to its ethical, political and ecological reorientation.
