[pt] A poesia de Primo Levi permanece menos notada e conhecida por parte dos seus leitores. Para isso terá contribuído a sua tardia reunião em livro, onde o próprio, no texto que abre o volume A uma hora incerta, a apresenta em tom menor e a atribui ao seu lado menos racional. Embora já tenha sido estudado como os poemas de Levi, sobretudo os das primeiras décadas da sua escrita, antecipam e tematizam aquilo que viriam a ser as suas obras em prosa, é necessário acrescentar a esses estudos a análise de que a partir da década de 1960 a sua poesia parece representar uma autonomia ou uma via paralela, mais pessoal, relativamente à sua obra. Além disso, uma leitura mais atenta pode encontrar nos poemas um processo de germinação, aplicado às suas tomadas de posição, agindo, como o autor refere, enquanto via directa para com o público. Neste texto procuro assinalar não só a autonomia da sua poesia a partir de 1960 face à prosa de Levi, mas também as confluências entre poesia e participação civil, em particular no que diz respeito a sua tomada de posição face ao Estado de Israel, à memória da Solução Final nazi e de outros massacres, e finalmente, sobre as sementes do fascismo para as quais Primo Levi nunca deixou de procurar alertar os seus coetâneos e as novas gerações.

[en] Primo Levi s poetry remains relatively overlooked and lesser known among his readership. This relative marginalization may be attributed, in part, to the late publication of his poems in book form, where Levi himself, in the introductory text to the volume At an Uncertain Hour, presents them in a modest register, associating them with what he describes as his less rational side. While previous scholarship has examined how Levi s early poetry -particularly that written during the initial decades of his literary activity - anticipates and thematizes elements that would later be fully developed in his prose works, it is necessary to expand upon these studies by considering how, beginning in the 1960s, his poetry appears to acquire a certain autonomy or to constitute a parallel and more personal trajectory alongside his prose. Moreover, a closer reading reveals in these poems a process of germination through which Levi articulates his positions and reflections, functioning, as he himself suggests, as a direct channel of communication with the public.The present study aims to demonstrate not only the growing independence of Levi s poetry after 1960 in relation to his prose but also the intersections between poetry and civic engagement. Particular attention is given to his stance on the State of Israel, the remembrance of the Nazi Final Solution and other massacres, and, ultimately, to the enduring warning he sought to convey regarding the latent seeds of fascism - a warning addressed both to his contemporaries and to future generations.
