[pt] O artigo faz parte de uma pesquisa realizada na cidade de Houston, em maio de 2024, formada por um conjunto de nove entrevistas, com lideranças migrantes latino americanas. A partir do testemunho de uma líder migrante, Sonia Rubio Rosas, de origem mexicana, que chega no começo do século XXI a Houston, compreenderemos e analisaremos algumas características das migrações forçadas de latino-americanas(os) no Sul dos Estados Unidos. As narrativas envolvem questões de violências de gênero, de fronteiras e de necropolítica que atingem, também, de forma geral, corpos migrantes de origem não branca.

[en] The article is part of a study carried out in the city of Houston in May 2024, consistingof nine interviews with Latin American migrant leaders. Based on the testimony of amigrant leader, Sonia Rubio Rosas, of Mexican origin, who arrived in Houston at thebeginning of the 20th century, we will understand and analyze some characteristicsof the forced migrations of Latin Americans in the south of the United States. Thenarratives involve issues of gender violence, borders and necropolitics, which alsoaffect migrant bodies of non white origin in general.
