[pt] Este trabalho analisa as possibilidades de fortalecimento institucional do Núcleo de Estudo e Ação Mundo da Juventude (NEAM), projeto de extensão da PUC-Rio voltado à formação de jovens em situação de vulnerabilidade social. Com base em referenciais teóricos sobre terceiro setor, educação e cidadania, buscou-se compreender como o NEAM pode se tornar um modelo sustentável e
replicável. A metodologia qualitativa incluiu entrevistas com a equipe, voluntários e egressos, revelando a importância do projeto no acolhimento e desenvolvimento dos jovens. Foram identificados desafios como falta de espaço, carência de equipe técnica e necessidade de planejamento estratégico. Como proposta, recomenda-se a criação de uma estrutura organizacional mais robusta, com gestão de projetos, comunicação institucional e captação de recursos.
Resumo
[en] This study analyzes the possibilities for institutional strengthening of the
Núcleo de Estudo e Ação Mundo da Juventude (NEAM), a community outreach
program at PUC-Rio focused on the education of socially vulnerable youth. Based
on theoretical frameworks related to the third sector, education, and citizenship,
the research aims to understand how NEAM can become a sustainable and
replicable model. The qualitative methodology included interviews with staff,
volunteers, and alumni, highlighting the program s key role in offering support,
training, and opportunities. Main challenges include limited physical space, lack of
a permanent technical team, and absence of strategic planning. The study
recommends the development of a more structured organization with project
management, institutional communication, and fundraising strategies.
