Resumo
[pt] As crianças são uma parte importante do corpo social, visto que é nessa
fase em que os eventos e aprendizados geram consequências duradouras para o
resto das vidas dos indivíduos e para o futuro da sociedade. Assim, elas integram
com o sistema internacional em diversas problemáticas, sendo necessário
considerá-las anteriormente à tomada de qualquer decisão política. No entanto,
com o avanço das medidas anti-migratórias nos Estados Unidos, percebe-se que
os direitos desse grupo vêm sofrendo de forma mais específica. Sendo assim,
nesse policy brief será explorado de que forma as políticas de imigração, que
restringem e impedem que os imigrantes entrem em outros territórios, atingem as
crianças. Além disso, serão analisadas que possibilidades podem ser exploradas
tanto para proteger quanto para impedir que essas crianças sejam atingidas pelo
fortalecimento dessas políticas migratórias.
Resumo
[en] Children are an important part of society, since it is at this stage that events and
learning generate lasting consequences for the rest of an individual s life and for
the future of society. Thus, they are part of the international system in a variety of
issues, and it is necessary to consider them before making any political decision.
However, with the advancement of anti-immigration measures in the United
States, it is clear that the rights of this group have been suffering in a more
specific way. Therefore, this policy brief will explore how immigration policies,
which restrict and prevent immigrants from entering other territories, affect
children. In addition, it will analyze what possibilities can be explored both to
protect and to prevent these children from being affected by the strengthening of
these immigration policies.
