[pt] O afrofuturismo é um movimento artístico, filosófico, social e cultural com narrativas protagonizadas por negros e de autoria negra, com o objetivo de proporcionar outras visões sobre África e suas diásporas. Esta pesquisa investiga as obras literárias da autora Lu Ain-Zaila, pioneira na criação de um protagonismo negro feminino no universo especulativo brasileiro, nos levando à questão: como o imaginário afrofuturista da autora é construído e quais elementos se destacam nessa construção? Essa dissertação se inicia averiguando o crescimento do cenário especulativo e afrofuturista, sinalizando seus imaginários e a escassez de autoras negras dentro desse universo. Além disso, sob a ótica da afrocentricidade de Molefi Asante (2009), é fundamental entender: o uso de valores culturais e filosóficos africanos em território brasileiro - as dinâmicas da ancestralidade, do tempo e da oralidade de tradição africana pontuadas por Hampâté Bâ (2010) e Leda Maria Martins (2021); a ideia de contracolonialidade de Nego Bispo (2021, 2022), a descolonização mental e a educação afrocêntrica de Thiong o (2021). Esses pontos são essenciais para identificar as estratégias anti-maafa apontadas por Aza Njeri (2020) e cultivadas nas obras de Ain-Zaila. A partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e qualitativa, este estudo também observa como a criação imaginativa da autora e seus processos criativos - o espaço ficcional, os diálogos, as personagens literárias, os enredos e a ideia de positivar a vida - não apenas contribuem para práticas antirracistas e anticoloniais como assegura a criatividade e a liberdade, ressignifica a experiência de maafa e indica caminhos mais esperançosos, se tornando referência estética/literária dentro da produção brasileira contemporânea.

[en] Afrofuturism is an artistic, philosophical, social, and cultural movement that features narratives centered on Black people and created by Black authors, offering alternative visions of Africa and its diasporas. This research investigates the books by the Afrofuturist author Lu Ain-Zaila, a pioneer in creating a black female main character in Brazilian speculative fiction, leading us to the question: What elements define the author s Afrofuturist imaginary world, and how are they constructed? To begin with, this thesis investigates the development of the speculative and Afrofuturist scenario, highlighting its imaginaries and the insufficient numbers of black female authors within this universe. Furthermore, from the perspective of Molefi Asante s Afrocentricity (2020), it is essential to understand: the use of African cultural and philosophical values in Brazilian territory, such as the dynamics of ancestry, time and orality of African tradition highlighted by Hampâté Bâ (2010) and Leda Maria Martins (2021); the idea of contracolonialidade by Antonio Bispo dos Santos (2021, 2022), and the decolonising the mind and Afrocentric education by Thiong o (2021). These points are essential to identify the anti-maafa strategies pointed out by Njeri (2020) and cultivated in the works of Ain-Zaila. Based on bibliographical and qualitative research, this study also observes the author s imaginative concept and her creative processes - the settings, the dialogues, the fictional characters, the plots, and the idea of making life positive. These not only contribute to anti-racist and anti-colonial practices but also ensure creativity and freedom, redefine the experience of maafa, and indicate more hopeful paths, becoming an aesthetic/literary reference within contemporary Brazilian production.
