[pt] Esta dissertação tem como objetivo buscar compreender o trabalho de cuidado, desde seus conceitos essenciais, as teorias fundantes do campo e a emergência do cuidado como uma categoria relevante, até a elaboração da Política Nacional de Cuidados no Brasil, com enfoque especial no cuidado de idosos e enfermos. A pesquisa foi realizada por meio de uma resenha bibliográfica sobre o tema do trabalho de cuidado, no âmbito internacional e nacional, sob as perspectivas da filosofia, da economia, da sociologia e dos movimentos feministas, bem como por meio da análise de indicadores sociodemográficos e de instrumentos normativos que revelam a conformação da Política Nacional de Cuidados.
Resumo
[en] This dissertation aims to understand care work, from its essential concepts, the founding theories of the field and the emergence of care as a relevant category, to the development of the National Care Policy in Brazil, with a special focus on the care of the elderly and infirm. The research was carried out by means of a bibliographical review on the subject of care work, both internationally and nationally, from the perspectives of philosophy, economics, sociology and feminist movements, as well as through the analysis of sociodemographic indicators and normative instruments that reveal the shaping of the National Care Policy.
