[pt] O Evangelho de João, desde o início do século XX, é objeto de estudo de numerosos exegetas através do Método Histórico-Crítico (MHC), o qual trouxe e traz diversas contribuições para o estudo do texto. Com seu surgimento, por volta da década de 80 do século passado, os chamados Novos Métodos de Análise Literária trouxeram um renovado vigor à interpretação bíblica e produziram um maior diálogo com os métodos diacrônicos. Esse artigo se propõe a utilizar dos passos da Análise Narrativa, para o estudo exegético de Jo 12,1-8 e, a partir de seus resultados, refletir sobre o núcleo central da perícope, bem como a respeito dos elementos que se destacam no texto por meio do emprego desse método sincrônico. Para tanto, após a introdução, o escrito se divide em quatro partes: crítica textual; segmentação e tradução; análise narrativa e uma exposição da teologia narrativa da perícope. A conclusão aponta as colaborações acerca do que foi analisado, propõe um novo título para a perícope e oferece novas contribuições da aplicação desse método ao texto de Jo 12,1-8.

[en] The Gospel of John, since the beginning of the 20th century, has been studied by numerous exegetes through the Historical-Critical Method (HCM), which brought and still brings several contributions to the study of the text. With their emergence, around the 80s of the last century, the so-called New Methods of Literary Analysis brought renewed vigor to biblical interpretation and produced a greater dialogue with diachronic methods. This article proposes to use the steps of Narrative Analysis, for the exegetical study of Jo 12,1-8 and, based on its results, reflect on the central core of the pericope, as well as on the elements that stand out in the text through the use of this synchronic method. Therefore, after the introduction, the writing is divided into four parts: textual criticism; segmentation and translation; narrative analysis and an exposition of the narrative theology of the pericope. The conclusion points out the collaborations about what was analyzed, proposes a new title for the pericope and offers new contributions from the application of this method to the text of Jo 12,1-8.
