[pt] A aceitação daquilo que Primo Levi tem a nos dizer é a aceitação de um passado traumático, marcado por um dos máximos momentos em que o ser humano foi destituído de sua condição propriamente humana. O testemunho de Levi é sim o centro gravitacional de uma imensa obra, construída em seus quarenta anos de carreira literária. Mas a crítica que ao longo do tempo fez com que a imagem da testemunha ofuscasse a imagem do escritor, parece não ter percebido que Levi nunca foi autor de um só livro, ou ainda de um só tema. Além da riqueza das formas literárias produzidas por Primo Levi, o presente texto procurará apresentar ao leitor brasileiro uma faceta do autor que permanece também pouco conhecida no país e que diz respeito à sua aparição em entrevistas concedidas em diversas ocasiões ao longo de toda sua vida. Além da análise dos principais temas em geral abordados nesses encontros, o texto apresentará uma transcrição completa da entrevista concedida por Primo Levi a Giuseppe Grieco sobre o tema da religiosidade. Publicada em 1983 na revista semanal Gente, é uma das raras entrevistas dedicadas inteiramente ao tema.

[en] The acceptance of what Primo Levi has to tell us is the acceptance of a traumatic past, marked by one of the greatest moments in which the human being was deprived of his human condition. Levi s testimony is indeed the gravitational center of an immense body of work, built up over his forty-year literary career. But the critics who, over time, have made the image of the witness overshadow that of the writer, seem not to have realized that Levi was never the author of a single book, or even of a single theme. Besides the richness of the literary forms produced by Primo Levi, the present text will seek to present to the Brazilian reader a facet of the author that remains mostly known in the country. It concerns his appearance in interviews granted on several occasions throughout his life. In addition to analyzing the main themes generally discussed in these encounters, the text will present a complete transcript of the interview conceded by Primo Levi to Giuseppe Grieco on the theme of religiosity. Published in 1983 in the weekly magazine Gente, it is one of the few that was entirely dedicated to the theme.
