[pt] As mulheres e os homens têm uma percepção diferente quando o assunto é assumir riscos. Segundo Schubert (1999), existe uma visão difundida de que as mulheres são mais avessas ao risco do que os homens. Com isso, espera-se que as mulheres invistam de forma mais conservadora que os homens. Alguns autores também defendem que há uma correlação entre características socioeconômicas e demográficas e tolerância ao risco. Autores assumem que quanto mais velho for o indivíduo, menos tolerantes ao risco eles serão. Tendo em vista o objetivo do estudo que foi identificar as mudanças na propensão ao risco de acordo com a fase de vida em que as mulheres se encontram, foi feita uma pesquisa quantitativa onde foram analisados os perfis demográficos e socioeconômicos de 123 mulheres, assim como o Perfil de Investidor e as carteiras de investimentos de cada uma delas. Os resultados indicaram que as mulheres tendem a mudar seu tipo de Perfil de Investidora de acordo com a fase de vida em que se encontram, saindo muitas vezes de um perfil conservador para poder arriscar mais e, consequentemente, obter maiores retornos.

[en] Women and men have a different perception when the issue is taking risks. According to Schubert (1999), there is a widespread view that women are more risk averse than men. As a result, women are expected to invest more conservatively than men. Some authors also argue that there is a correlation between socioeconomic and demographic characteristics and risk tolerance. Authors assume that the older the person, the less risk tolerant he/her will be. The aim of the study was to identify changes in risk propensity according to a woman s life stage. To this end, a quantitative survey was conducted in which the demographic and socioeconomic profiles of 123 women were analyzed, as well as the Investor Profile and the investment portfolios of each of them. The outcome of this survey indicated that women tend to change their Investor Profile type according to their life stage, often leaving a conservative profile to be able to risk more and consequently get higher returns.
