One of the key features of today s organizations is the investment made in their capabilities to become more flexible and innovative in the corporate environment. Therefore, it is necessary that they present organizational changes to adapt to these new forms by aligning themselves strategically with the objectives and processes. Studies show that the choice of the most appropriate techniques and tools to be used is complex, since it depends on a broad knowledge of the characteristics and needs presented in each case. This paper will present the way in which an adequate set of techniques and specific tools of process mapping can improve the performance of the Engineering Area of the company. Due to the variety of projects, the large number of requests received from internal and external clients, the large number of documents for analysis, changes and approvals, the deadlines to be met, the aligned schedules, make the area A more critical process mapping for restructuring. To do this, it is necessary to apply a research-participant, documentary and bibliographical as a basis for data collection and development of the new process map in conjunction with the members of the area, considering the specific problems, perceptions and needs of each member. Thus, an organizational learning will be applied by the constant use of the tools used, making the team more aware of the real work and the consequences of their actions.
