This dissertation promotes an analysis of the relations between literature, identities, memory and Guinean culture in the work Kikia Matcho (1997), by Filinto de Barros and Mistida (1997), by Abdulai Sila, from the perspective of dialogue in these aspects, considering the colonial past and the consequent processes of construction of the nation state and the resistance of local cultures. Sila and Barros discuss marks of GuineaBissau s literary and cultural past, and their works seek to define perspectives of historical and political affirmation, through individual attitudes and cultural movements that drove to the independence revolution. Furthermore, it is a question of understanding the importance of oral marks in these narratives. The method chosen for the development of the research is the analytical-descriptive and bibliographic in nature, considering Kikia Matcho (1997) and Mistida (1997) as objects of study. The work presents, as a theoretical foundation, Alfredo Bosi s work (2002), on narrative and resistance, Edward Said on the role of the intellectual as spokesperson; Moema Augel (2007), Mia Couto (2005), Mata (2014), Hall (2006), and Hamilton (1999), on the issue of colonial vices in the formation of national identity. As a result, the novels present, in different ways, intersections between history and fiction, denouncing the social and political problems faced by Guineans at various moments in their history up to the present day. In these complaints, senses of cultural resistance and identity affirmation are asserted.
