FIRST ORDER SYSTEMS
| INTRODUCTION |
The objective of this object is to study the behavior of First Order CT-LTIS – Continuos Time Linear Time-Invariant Systems. Only causal systems are considered. These systems are important because they can model electric circuits, mechanical systems and also be parts of more complex systems.
The definition of the systems to be studied used a classification – linearity, time invariance, causality and having a continuos time variable. In case you do not know these concepts or want to refresh you knowledge, access the series Objetos Educacionias em Engenharia Elétrica (https://www.maxwell.vrac.puc-rio.br/series/serie_geral.php?nrSeq=32890) and study them.

The simulations of the First Order Systems are performed online and in real time using Scilab (https://www.scilab.org/). Scilab is connected to the Maxwell System so that it executes its functions using this system as its front end to the Internet.
What is Scilab? See the answer to this question of the Scilab page https://www.scilab.org/about.
What is Scilab?
Scilab is a free and open source software for engineers & scientists, with a long history (first release in 1994) and a growing community (100 000 downloads every months worldwide).
Scilab is available under de GPL License . What does it mean? You have the freedom to:
* use the software for any purpose
* change the software to suit your needs,
* share the software with your friends and neighbors, and
* share the changes you make.
