The case study intended to identify all benefits that Sementes Girassol offers to its employees as well as to the local community, in order to help the company to reach a higher level of social awareness, assuring its continuity in the agribusiness in the long run. The results found came through the following means: qualitative analysis in the Q&A key social performance indicators document; study of the concept strengthened by an interview with an expert; bibliographic and documental research ; informal conversation with the owner & his collaborators and the social balance sheet analysis. The conclusion is that Sementes Girassol has a great potential to engage to the social cause as part of its strategic goals and is fully ready to leverage a quick process into this direction. The company and its founder gather all requirements to be the ones who inspire and determine a new position regarding social awareness next to regional community, as well as Brazilian agribusiness entrepreneurs.
