The global scenario of business is highly competitive. They turn to the opportunities that logistics management or supply chain offers, which shows the importance of logistics in corporate strategies. Positive results in this operational area are one of the sources of advantage over the competition. However, logistics costs are high and diversified. In addition, several companies have difficulties in determining these costs, practically making impossible an adequate and efficient management. The theme of this research is the management of logistics costs. Develop case study of the company Amoedo Materiais de Construção Ltda., one of the leaders in the retail building materials, renovation and decoration of Rio de Janeiro.
