Resumo:
This study aims to identify whether the experience of young volunteers in social work influenced the development of leadership characteristics. For that conducts interviews with six young volunteers of the program Criança e Movimento established by NGO Rio Hillel to promote recreational education to children from Escola Solar Meninos de Luz that live in the slums of Pavão-Pavãozinho and Cantagalo of Rio de Janeiro. The results raised are inherent to the specific situation studied and were seen as indicators that reinforce the hypothesis of the relationship between volunteering and leadership development.
