Resumo:
This work introduces a comparative study between both of the Securities Exchange Commission in Brazil and the United States towards the applicable laws for the variable income mutual funds industry. For better presentation this study explains concepts of the funds legislation and regulation in general matters, mechanisms and inspection methods used by the government as well as its application. In this study application is inserted for better understanding for the interested reader in this area. The government agencies were chosen due to the fact that both are the responsible for these laws and inspection of variable income mutual funds.
