|
The goal of this study is to evaluate impacts of ADR
(American Depositary
Receipt) issuing by local companies on returns, liquidity,
volume and volatility on
local market, by an empirical comparison with local market
performance of
historical series of prices, shares and volume traded.
Giving the growing
participation of Brazilian companies ADRs on US markets,
analyzing information
on the results achieved by those companies facing market
trend has been
considered of great matter. On a general basis, results
obtained shown an increase
on the performance of indicators analyzed on this study
after the effective ADR
issuing by the selected companies.
