Resumo:
Organizational commitment is of enormous importance to the organization due to the desire to retain a qualified task force. The objective of this study is the understanding and quantification of IRB-Brazil Re´s Outsourced-employees and Contest-employees organizational commitment. Both groups are characterized respectively, by the nature of their work - relations. The chosen model to understand and compare the organizational commitment in the company was the model proposed by J. P. Meyer and N. J. Allen in A Three- Component Conceptualization of Organizational Commitment, 1991. When analyzing the results of the research carried through in IRB-Brazil Re, the expectation to find lower levels of commitment in Outsourced-employees in comparison to Contestemployees is confirmed.
