According to IBGE, the number of elderly in Brazil is
increasing, which is going
to represent, in 20 years, 13% of Brazilian population.
And, in view of the same
institution, elderly from Rio de Janeiro have the biggest
income among elderly
from the other state capitals. So, we notice the
opportunity to offer to elderly from
classes A and B, from this city, a geriatric spa. This
paper intends to analyze the
possible demand for this place: discover if it really
exists and identify the
important issues about elderly and their point of view
about the proposed place.
