Resumo:
The Avanti company, manufacturer of rugs and carpets, is in search for new markets as a way to reduce its idle capacity and make better use of its machines and equipments. Leader in made-to-order products, Avanti wants to enlarge its market scope by serving the market for broadloom carpets. It will have to quickly adapt itself to the new market, which is characterized by big players and intense competition. This study is based on research conducted with broadloom carpet dealers and Avantis show room managers. Both qualitative and quantitative results are reported.
