Resumo:
The aim of this paper is to study a different approach to companies valuation, by considering uncertainty. We first determined the fair value of Magazine Luiza S.A. unsing the discounted cash flow method. Then, we analyzed which variable impact the most the fair value of the company through a sensitivity analyzes. To study the impact of uncertainty through this variables we used two different approaches. The first approach is based into the frequentist approach and the Central Limit Theorem. The second approach is inspired by the bayesian approach when we take into account the opinion of the analyst to estimate possible outcomes. Our main goal was to present a method that was able to consider uncertainty without disrigarding the analyst opinion.
