The sport in Brazil is an industry that is experiencing a moment in the spotlight with major events such as the World Cup and the Olympics. The investments in the sports sector is of great importance to bring back not only for the sport and for related industries such as, sporting goods market. Thus the present study was to investigate and better understand the issue of placement of volleyball in Brazil and how the new changes introduced in the sport has generated an increase of fans and supporters for the sport. The results generated from the survey show that the respondents believe that the implementation of new rules, sports and features in new technologies, adds value, and these positive actions for the sport and well received, however, is not something that can be said to bring more fans and supporters for the sport. Thus, future studies focused on strategies to recruit more fans and practitioners of volleyball can be worked to remedy this issue so important to the development of the sport.
