The study aims at identifying the type of hierarchy of human needs existing
in a Public Foundation, the Foundation Planetarium Rio de Janeiro. For this we
used the model of Maslow s hierarchy of needs (1943), which assesses human
needs through a pyramid, showing that motivation and employee satisfaction are
related according to the primary needs (Physiological and Safety) and the
secondary needs (Social, Esteem and Self-realization).
