Resumo:
The present study aims to investigate the important attributes that lead a consumer to buy a Chinese car. The study was motivated by the growth of sales of Chinese cars and the interest in these brands build factories in Brazil. We conducted a qualitative research through in-depth interviews with 15 individuals, to investigate the determinants attributes for the purchase of a Chinese vehicle. We attempted to show consumer perceptions about the Chinese car, in general, to get the attributes that influence their purchasing decision process. The results showed that although the Chinese car to be seen as a product of reduced price, one of the main reasons for their purchase, they are also seen as products with innovative design, which is a positive perception of the products of Chinese origin.
