Resumo:
The present study aims to investigate what are the young professionals, representatives of Generation Y, expectations over their careers. First, the study identified the expectations related to their professional careers. Subsequently, the characteristics considered most important by these young people to choose a particular job and organization were analyzed. The development of the research clears out that the expectations of Generation Y may affect on their choices on which company to work for. The possibility of improvement in the company, pleasant working environment, flexibility and quality of life are some of the most valued expectations by young people in the labor market nowadays.
