This study intends to show the concept of the Lean Manufacturing Methodology, that consists in search of a better productivity, by the means of eliminating wastes and to develop a study in an organization in which this concept is applied. The references for this theoric work encloses the logistical sector, movimentation of the goods, the production of the material as itself, the kind of wastes that a logistics company tends to have in this process, and the applying of important measures to eliminate these wastes and optimize the production of the merchandise. This study is focused on the optimization of the logistics of the goods that takes place in a car factory in the region of Rio Grande do Sul. The results were analyzed in a few categories as costs, motivation, safety, quality and optimization. In the end, this study shows how great were the results with the implementation of the methodology of the Lean Manufacturing in the studied company.
